Fifth Freedom (“we” or “us”) is a 501c3 nonprofit that operates the website IndianaPop.org and the IndianaPop mobile application (“IndianaPop”).  This page discloses the privacy policy for IndianaPop and how we collect and use data with IndianaPop.  By using IndianaPop, you agree to this privacy policy.

Information We Track

We believe that your privacy is important.  IndianaPop does not track user email addresses, phone numbers, or names, unless they are submitted to us via a contact or registration form.

Using IndianaPop may provide us with personally identifiable information.  We collect information sent to us by your browser or the mobile app when you access IndianaPop, as well as information from searches you make on IndianaPop.  We use cookies to track activity on IndianaPop and to hold information.  We may also use beacons, tags, or scripts to collect information and to improve IndianaPop.

Data collected includes the city you are in.  Depending on the searches you make, data collected may also include demographic categories, such as services for seniors or services for specific disabilities.  The data we collect may also include your Internet Protocol address (IP address), browser information, IndianaPop pages you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, and other data.

How We Use This Information

Fifth Freedom uses the information we collect with IndianaPop to help compile an annual Indiana Community Needs Assessment.  These assessments help service agencies, nonprofits, government agencies, and other service providers to see what services are needed in local Indiana communities.  For example, if visitors from Columbia City are searching for Autism therapy centers and not finding any results, an Autism organization may use this data in a grant application to ask for funding to build a center and fill this unmet need.  Needs assessments do not include individually identifying user information, such as user IP addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, or names.  Data collect with IndianaPop may also be used in other disability research or awareness projects.

We also track what pages visitors view, and what outside links are clicked on.  This is to help us identify which resources on our site are the most useful.

Who Can Access This Information

Fifth Freedom may disclose information at the request of authorities to comply with legal obligations or to protect against legal liability.

Fifth Freedom may disclose information to third party companies and individuals to help us improve IndianaPop and to help us analyze how IndianaPop is used.

We use Google Analytics to track and analyze IndianaPop usage and traffic.  The information collected by IndianaPop is shared with Google, and Google may use it to personalize its ads.  For more information, please read the Google Analytics privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

IndianaPop contains links to other sites that are not operated by us.  We are not responsible for the terms of service, privacy practices, or content on these websites.  Services and links are provided by IndianaPop for information purposes only, and do not constitute an endorsement by Fifth Freedom or its staff.  Nothing on IndianaPop is intended as medical or legal advice.
